TepeeTown of
St. Augustine
Inc. was originally started in 1945 with a small, yet powerful, shop in
New York City. Mr. Harris Sr. opened his Indian Shop because of
his
love for the Native American People and their art and traditions.
Expanding his role in
retail, Mr.
Harris opened and ran as many as 7 shops in the metropolitan New York
and
New Jersey area until he retired (so he thought) to Florida in 1974.
Retirement is not all
it's cracked
up to be, especially if your heart is still in retail and customer
service.
With his son, Fred, he
re-opened TepeeTown
in 1975 in St. Augustine, FL. where it remains today. The
business
was incorporated in Florida in 1979. Also in 1979, the Harris's
opened The Christmas Shop which represents the
finest
of the Gifts & Collectibles on the market both then and now.
In 1984, the
Corporation expanded
again and opened The Columbia Gift Shop, also
in
St. Augustine, FL. This specialty shop, located on historic St.
George
St., carries only the finest of the product lines offered by TepeeTown,
Inc. and since it's inception has proven to be one of the finest
"Customer
Service" operations in the country.
In 1988, the
Corporation acquired The
Authentic Old Drugstore, the nations oldest pharmacy and a major
attraction
in St. Augustine's Historic District. After several prior owners
failed to survive on "admission" to this attraction, we decided to make
it FREE to the public. In order to maintain this Historic
Attraction,
the Corporation added 3500 Square feet of retail area behind the
Authentic
Old Drugstore building. The proceeds from the Gift &
Collectible
shopping area provide the funding necessary to keep this important
Historic
Attraction open to the General Public Free Of Charge!
We have always been and always will be a
sticks and bricks
operation but since our collectors are located all over the world we
saw
a need for speedier communication.
TepeeTown, Inc.
entered
CyberSpace
in 1995 with a small web site. We
take
pride in offering only those items that are truly
collectibles.
Time, Quality and Value are the marks of a true collectible and we will

In 2005 we opened "
The Cafe' " located in the Authentic Old Drugstore complex, 31 Orange
Street.
In 2009 we closed our
primary location at 12 Castillo Drive and relocated those shops (The
Indian Shop and The Christmas Shop) to our other shops, The Authentic
Old Drugstore and The Columbia Gift Shop.
