Francis Barnum, veteran, historian and artist, does much more than
just sculpt scenes from the Civil War. His chosen medium - three-dimensional
metal sculpture - serves as a canvas to express his feelings, and of those
who have ever served their country. While he did not invent metal art sculpture
of the Civil War, he has redefined the genre and has established the standards
by which future sculptors will be judged. Thru meticulous research and
attention ot detail, Barnum explores a spectrum of stubjects from action-filled
climaxes in well-known battle to the most personal and emotional moments
