TepeeTown's TIPI's

Tipi sizes range from 7 feet to 24 feet in DIAMETER (Note the diameter of the tipi approximalty equals  the functional height of the tipi.)

Our lodges represent beautiful quality and workmanship in the authentic Sioux design. We double reinforce the stress area and give you the choice of regular, 10 Oz. cottan canvas or specially-treated "Sunforger" canvas. The above photo shows two of our most popular tipi sizes. The majestic 18' tipi can easily accommodate five to seven people, comfortably! The 7' tipi is often used in schools and backyards both as a leaning tool and for plain old fun! Children will remember it for a lifetime.

Please note the standard canvas is 10 Ounce weight, all cotton, and is water repellant. As the rain hits the canvas, the weave tightens and the tipi sheds water beautifully.

Sunforger Canvas is a bit heavier, 10.38 Ounce, tightly woven cotton and treated for mildew resistance. It is flame resistant, UV light resistant, and, of course, water-proof!

The tipi poles provide both the foundation and framework for your tipi. Historically, they were selected for their strength, length and straightness. We look for the same qualities in the poles we provide. The mountains in Montana are covered with a wide variety of pine trees, on of which is called "Lodge Pole Pine", after its use in tipi lodges. We selectively pick poles in overgrowth areas. Our poles are then HAND PEELED and seasoned.

This 72" tall, optional, INNER WALL is build in three sections. Each section consists of five panels and ties to the inside of the poles to provide privacy and warmth as an "inner wall"
